Duties- Process Medicare Supplement claims, voids, adjustments and refunds. Research, resolve and respond to written inquires from insured and providers. Request and follow up on refunds. Process EDI reports, back up telephones, review medical records. Additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
Description: Provide market research and analytical analysis of insurance and financial data using and applying a variety of statistical and modeling techniques. Marketing Analyst will: • Produce annual marketing sales forecasts for life insurance, annuity and Medicare supplement insurance product lines. • Analyze, interpret and utilize database information to produce monthly, quarterly and annual projections and make business recommendations. • Generate ideas for value-added Management Information. • Provide insight into key causes of over/under performance through analytical methods. • Specify and document the business requirements and work with the team to produce it. • Cooperate and share analytical data. Position requirements: • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Crystal, etc. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills using mathematical and basic statistical knowledge. • Ability to perform analytical processes, interpret results and develop appropriate conclusions and recommendations. • Ability to research insurance markets and ability to present competitive information. • Knowledge of, and ability to work with, a variety of current software applications, particularly as it relates to manipulating and analyzing large volumes of insurance data. • Strong presentation skills and ability to present results of complex analytical data to a senior management. • Experience in working with insurance companies and industry associations in sharing
Description: This is a newly created position within Oxford Life Insurance Company’s expanding Operations division. The duties of this position will include but are not limited to: processing, applying and depositing all life and annuity premiums and claims overpayments; processing all daily reports and Excel spreadsheets for reporting purposes; provide assistance to the Policyholder Services department for basic correspondence functions and special projects as needed; and contact financial institutions, agents and policyholders as needed. This role will also entail working with Policyholder Services’ Supervisors to improve policy transactions processing by users and within the administration software to minimize errors and maximize efficiency. This position offers full benefits and an opportunity to play a key role within a corporate setting. Candidates will have a High School Diploma as a minimum and preferably one year prior experience in a similar capacity or other specialized training. Experience in the life insurance and / or annuity industry is deemed a plus. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of an enthusiastic sense of urgency and meeting deadlines. Candidates will display an ability to efficiently organize, collect and professionally present information, analysis and suggestions. A proactive approach to challenges should be integral in daily tasks. The ability to communicate and to work effectively in a team environment is critical.
