Description: Republic Western Insurance Company is currently seeking a Claims Adjuster to join our team in Omaha, NE. This person will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation and settlement (either by denial, compromise or payment) of claims arising from accidents or physical damages to vehicles, property of customers and third parties (property damage claims, medium to large bodily injury claims and general liability protection.) Individual must manage a full pending on an active diary and sustain an acceptable new claims to closing ratio, as well as maintain the integrity of proprietary information. Candidates must have 3-5 years of multi-line claims adjusting experience, as well as working knowledge of comparative negligence laws in multiple states, regulations, unfair claims practices, medical terminology, legal terminology, and processes. Experience handling property damage claims, bodily injury and all personal injury protection. Candidates must become licensed in all states handled within six months of employment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: *Develop design specifications *Research and prototype complex design solutions *Perform code and design reviews with other developers *Develop design patterns and standards, while using best practices and patterns *Work with business on defining requirements and features insurance products The successful applicant will have at least 5 years of web application software development experience, along with the following: *Demonstrated solid application development skills utilizing ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, HTML, JavaScript *Database experience with TSQL (SQL Server) *Knowledge of basic network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, etc) and technology *Expert knowledge of application and web security *Experience with high availability high volume web applications *Solid background in OOP design and programming *Experience with the software development life cycle and formal development processes (creating specifications, technology pilots, analyzing application, etc) *Strong interpersonal and written skills and organization *Bachelors degree in Computer Science of related field Republic Western is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free environment.
Description: Republic Western's Subrogation department is looking for a Collector. This individual will perform subrogation on commercial, excess, and non-standard auto claims, as well as U-Haul equipment damages. Duties include internal and external customer service with the ability to prioritize workload. Candidates must be goal-oriented, deadline conscious, and aggressive. We are looking for someone with energy and self-confidence. Previous collections experience is preferred, but not required. Verbal and written communication skills are a must in order to negotiate claims with other insurance companies. This is a full-time salaried position with the opportunity to earn commissions. The hours are flexible, M-F, 8 hours/day.
